這位男性在金賢洙都已準備要接球時，突然從他身後丟下啤酒罐，雖然沒有砸中金賢洙，但十分危險。
當警員想前往逮捕此位男性，他已經離開原本的位置，不過多倫多警方還是利用影片逮到當事者。
他說：「這不是我的罐子，我是喝塑膠杯的飲料。」
金鶯隊全隊都十分氣憤，外野手Adam Jones表示：「我希望警方抓到他，並且起訴他，因為金賢洙根本沒在注意他，他從後方偷襲，你根本不知道會發生什麼事。」
藍鳥隊也為這件事公開道歉，並且發表聲明，也強調球迷要專心在場中的比賽。
